        Verdict

        A competitive field goes to post for the finale but on closer inspection not many can be given a serious chance of winning and the principals look to be Vesta Flame, Blue Maeve and Pageant and the tentative vote goes to Vesta Flame. The three-year old was a good third behind Bella Pavlina last time out and a reproduction of that effort would make him hard to beat. Blue Maeve rates the main danger on his latest fourth behind Indian Warrior but he is not the most consistent of performers so is opposed for that reason. Pageant is also worthy of respect and he ran as if returning to form when fourth behind Balerno and he should not be far away off what looks a good mark. Of the remainder All On My Own was behind the selection last time and there is no reason why he should reverse the placings on these terms so for the winner we return to Vesta Flame.
