In depth
Verdict
In a race that lacks strength in depth, Dig Deep gets the call over Mansiya. The selection showed plenty of promise when fourth to Minimum Bid on his debut on Lingfield's all-weather, over a trip of six furlongs. This step up to seven should suit and, to be be fair, the opposition looks very modest overall so he must surely go close. Mansiya has shown promise on all three career starts, including when third on Lingfield's Turf last time on her seasonal return. That type of form makes her a strong contender today. Although Doughty holds the rating of a plater, he has bits of all-weather form that mean he might bag some money at this modest level, while My Boo showed improvement this year when not beaten that far in a Newmarket maiden, so he is one to bear in mind for a place but, despite being from the Mick Channon stable, Platnix has shown very little in two runs to date, while the others have something to prove on what we so far know. These include Weet Yer Turn, who has not built on early promise. This, then, returns us to the selection, which is Dig Deep.
