Verdict
Mon Ami gets the vote over Ocean Pride and Tobago Reef. The selection has got some decent form in Italy and he looks to have a similar profile to several other horses that have been brought over from Italy and have made a winning debut here on the all-weather. The market may provide further clues to his chance but he has the best of the draw and he looks the most likely winner. Ocean Pride returns to the level after a spin over hurdles and although he would have claims on his best form, he was a little disappointing in this grade at Lingfield on his penultimate start. Tobago Reef falls into a similar category as he has been a little disappointing in this grade recently and he will need to step-up on what he has shown to get competitive. Still Dreaming has got some fair form on the turf and if she takes to this surface then she could be of interest, but the weakness of this contest makes this a golden opportunity for Mon Ami to make a winning British debut.
