    Verdict

In another very poor contest it may pay to side with Borzoi Maestro whose placed form entitles him to cope with the likes of Gone To ground and Hsi Wang Mu. Borzoi Maestro ran well enough on his all-weather debut over the course and distance 11 days ago to warrant support. Second to Only If I Laugh, John Spearing's charge plugged on gamely enough behind the Frankie Dettori-ridden winner, and none of these appear any better on paper. Gone To Ground ran above himself when placed in a claimer at Haydock, but has been beaten in sellers before and is readily opposable, while Hsi Wang Mu, who cost 20,000 gns as a yearling, missed the break on her Yarmouth debut but put in an eye catching run to be fourth. Bets are best kept to a minimum, and a small investment on Borzoi Maestro is advised.
