Verdict
Miss Champers makes a quick reappearance in a bid to rattle up a hat-trick, and although humping topweight, is the pick over Red Storm and Jade Star. Miss Champers was claimed out of David Evans' yard after justifying favouritism in a Southwell claimer on 29 January and repaid new connections' faith immediately when comfortably landing a fillies' handicap on a return visit three days ago. She has yet to score over today¿s trip but has won twice at Wolverhampton in the past, and as she was not stopping at the finish last time, should be given a chance to prove that she stays the trip. Her apprentice rider takes off a valuable five pounds and she is given the nod. Red Storm is already a course and distance winner here, having been successful three times in all, including 11 days ago when accounting for Maggie's Pet, helped by a first-time visor. She has a bit more to do at this level, but can make the frame at least. Jade Star was having her first run since August when fourth in amateur company at Southwell recently. She was prominent for most of the way, and although only a little above plating class, will appreciate the drop back in trip. Mark Brisbourne collected 12 months ago with Prideway and relies on Zahunda, while both Givemethemoonlight and Wodhill Folly were beaten favourites on their latest engagements. Aitana is nothing special but the stable are in form and so is yet another to consider, but the strongest claims are held by Miss Champers who bids to strike while the iron is hot.
