In depth
Verdict
The two to focus on are Malahide Express and Scary Night, who come out well ahead on official ratings, with Scary Night getting the nod from us. The selection has shown a consistent level of form since cheekpieces were fitted and, as he can be forgiven his last run which came on heavy going, a bold show is expected. With his rider claiming a useful five pounds, Malahide Express, who has proven that he acts on the surface, has a clear chance and rates the danger. Course and distance winner Scarlet Secret looks best of the race. Brian Meehan's Brain Teaser has shown little so far but is now equipped with first-time blinkers, while Molotov has not progressed from winning over course and distance on Boxing Day.
