      Verdict

      Classic Vision showed enough on his debut to suggest that he can land this run-of-the-mill event, with the newcomer Secluded the possible danger. Willie Haggas's daughter of Classic Cliche took a while to warm to her theme at Leicester but, when the penny dropped, she put in some good late work. Normal improvement gives her a good chance here. On breeding, Secluded, who cost 66,000gns as a yearling, ought to hold a strong chance, but it is a concern that Alec Stewart has selected the all-weather for his debut. Despite showing promise at two, Backwell has so far disappointed in two runs this season. Even though we know he will handle the surface, Blue Circle, who is stepping up to a mile here, has been firmly put in his place this season. Aegean Mist has bits of form, but has yet to really impress at this trip. Danger Bird acts on the surface and should be suited by the trip and can bag some prize money.
