        Verdict

        The connections of Scotty's Future obviously had their reasons for going to 18,000gns after he won a seller at Lingfield last time but he looks opposable back in handicap company and is taken on with the in-form Vortex, who has solid claims of landing the hat-trick today. Skylarker and Penwell Hill are others to place on the shortlist as they are at least consistent at this level and should go well for each-way backers. Whereas Yorker is as frustrating as they come and remains a very hard horse to get right. Sentiments that apply to the majority of the rest, whose tendency to find at least one too good will always make them opposable. Vortex fits that profile of a spoiler for them all today and he can reward his faithful with another bold show. Gay Kellaway's charge has created the impression that the handicapper still has a little work to do in gathering his measure and the Danehill gelding can make the most what still looks to be a fair mark in this company.
