In depth

Verdict

Willie Ever can continue his rise up the ranks with Chjimes and Memphis Man put up as alternatives. Brian Ellison's team are sending out plenty of winners and on the evidence of his win at the course last week, the handicapper is yet to catch up with Willie Ever and he should be more than capable of defying a punitive 6lb rise for that success. Chjimes won at Lingfield Park last month under a peach of a ride. He is able but needs everything to go for him. Memphis Man is starting to drop down the ratings after a long battle against the handicapper. He is yet to win over further than six furlongs. Ochre Bay is sure to run his race and will be thereabouts come the finish. Methaaly is always dangerous under a positive ride. Gross Prophet hails from a yard that have enjoyed particular success within the last week so he is worth more than a cursory glance in the market. Bertbrand had form with Marco Botti and is now tried in the care of David Flood. Willie Ever gets our confident nod.
