Verdict
Another tough handicap to bring proceedings at Wolverhampton to an end with a chance taken on McQueen, who gets the verdict over Rock Concert and Pharoah's Gold. The last mentioned is a consistent performer but probably prefers a shorter trip. There are no problems on that score with Rock Concert but she was well held off today's mark here last time and may now be in the grip of the handicapper. Allegrina has an absence to overcome and may just be in need of the run, while Scottish River and Gold Guest are more exposed than most. After just six runs, Mcqueen is open to more improvement than most of his rivals and, with Heather Dalton's gelding having equipped himself well in his first start in handicap-company at Lingfield last time, he looks worth chancing on his Fibresand debut.
