      Verdict

Divertimenti was good value for his win over course and distance last month and he is taken to defy what seems a fair rise of just 5lbs and gets the vote ahead of Count Ceprano and Harare. The last mentioned showed improved form for his reappearance run here last month and he has claims dropping back to a more suitable distance. Inch Lodge is gradually slipping down the weights but could probably do with some more help from the handicapper. Red Romeo has been well held in two recent starts on turf and may do better back on the Polytrack but he seems plenty high enough in the weights at present, while Westport is hard to recommend after his recent start on admittedly testing ground at Redcar. Count Ceprano is 5lbs better in with the selection on their running here last time but he has two-and-a-quarter lengths to find and may struggle to do so and Divertimenti is taken to follow up.
