Verdict

Not a strong race and Clive Brittain, who won a maiden here last Monday with Ampoule, looks to have found the ideal opening for Santando. The three-year-old has been doing his best work in the closing stages of both of his starts to date, so this 12-furlongs should prove ideal. Mr Gisby sets the standard, but he is exposed and it would be something of a surprise if he is good enough to win this. Altitude Dancer, who is a half-brother to middle distance winner, is the type to do better as a three-year-old and is one to keep an eye on, while Danzig Prince is sure to be better for his debut over course and distance.
