In depth

Verdict

Subjective Value has improved for being gelded and won over track and trip for the second time this year on his latest start. He’ll figure again but CANNY FETTLE (NAP) made a winning debut in handicaps when scoring at Newcastle, with the re-opposing Alvediston back in third, and another bold bid is expected from Roger Varian’s unexposed charge. Mashkuur looks in the handicapper's grip on recent efforts and Phantasy Mac has more scope with a recent comeback run under her belt.
