Verdict
Jamie Osborne's Hawk It catches the eye ahead of Almond Willow, Hold The Line, Beau West and Elitista. Placed in each of his three starts, including over course and distance (Keltic Rainbow looks held on that form), he looks to have been found a good opportunity by his talented handler and should go close in a race that lacks overall strength. Almond Willow hails from Jeremy Noseda's stable, and he's had an excellent year on the turf. This colt has shown a modicum of ability and would not have to be a world beater to play a part here. The lightly raced Hold The Line showed improvement to finish second at Southwell last time and can improve again, as can Beau West, who showed promise on her only Turf run to date. Elitista also showed some promise at Lingfield on the Polytrack last time but we'll side with Hawk It today.
