Verdict
Cardinal Venture is likely to be well supported to follow up his course and distance win, but Nashaab, Certain Justice, Te Quiero, Vicious Warrior and Nuit Sombre among those to consider. The selection hacked up in an admittedly modest race last time when allowed to dictate and runs here under a penalty. He will not have things all his own way here but comes into the race in good heart. Lygeton Lad, Te Quiero, Del Mar Sunset and Yorker are all course and distance winners, a valuable factor round here, while Nashaab comes here on the back of a very good effort at Newmarket and, like the selection, has a good draw. Lakota Brave also comes here on the back of a course and distance win, but it was in a slower time than the selection on the same card. Nuit Sombre could go well if taking to the surface on his first try but, for us, it's Cardinal Venture to score again.
