    Verdict

    BOOMSHALAA is penalised for last month’s success at Kempton but he beat a horse rated 85 by four lengths on that occasion and Roger Varian’s colt is entered for the Group 1 Commonwealth Cup at Ascot next month. Alphonse Karr needs a bit more having placed in all three starts so far while but is still preferred to both Twilight Magic and Uptoon Girl while the newcomer Maylah looks nothing out of the ordinary on breeding.
