BID FOR GLORY is selected to land this latest punters' conundrum, while Resplendent Ace and Streets Apart are others considered. The Hugh Collingridge-trained selection was runner-up here over course and distance last time in a similar race and has the same mark tonight. He stays further than this, so has stamina on his side, and has a nice pitch from stall three. He has been significantly better than this in the past, and now that he has regained some form he could just be well handicapped despite top weight. Resplendent Ace scored here over 1m 4f in a claimer last time and returns to a handicap from 3lbs higher. He should remain very competitive. Streets Apart is not beyond improvement and will probably need it if she is to break her maiden, but the trip will suit and her profile is solid, although it suggests that she will again find one too good. By Command is interesting on this surface as one who likes it good to soft on turf and market support would be interesting. Almahaza appears to be better at Southwell, while High Five Society and Appelouse might find that the assessor has the final say. Bid For Glory can score.
