In depth

Verdict

Many of these arrive in good heart but SHERIFF OF NAWTON caught the eye when scoring from a poor draw over the course and distance last month and, with further progress in him, looks the one to be on. Dana's Present has a 5lb rise to overcome after scoring here for George Baker earlier this month but looked ideally suited to the surface so should go well for new handler Tom Dascombe. Lingfield winner The Gay Cavalier is on the upgrade and though running moderately on his only start here in November he's better than that and should get involved. Coillte Cailin was in front of the selection here last month and has since gained a comfortable victory on the track, though an 8lb rise makes things much more difficult. Barye looked an improving type when last seen here in September but Breakheart has the worst of the draw.
