Only Bundaberg, Angelo's Pride, Fayr Firenze, Jacob and Riley Boys appear to hold chances here with our vote going to Angelo's Double. Surely the Jamie Osborne-trained colt has at last found that seemingly elusive winning opportunity. Placed in four of his six races, he will rarely get a better chance of getting off the mark and, to be fair, he has form enough to land what is, overall, a modest event. Turning to the others, Bundaberg looks nothing out of the ordinary but at least made a step in the right direction last time when beaten eight lengths at Southwell by Daring Affair. Riley Boys showed a good deal of promise in two of his first three juvenile runs but his form then tailed off. However, if getting back to that kind of form, should go well. Jacob's form has also tailed off, and although he can be given a chance based of his fifth behind Baylaw Star at Hamilton last April, he was well behind Angelo's Double here last time over a mile. Fayr Firenze probably needed his last run following a break but this overall form is little better than plating class. This brings us back to Angelo's Double who can give Shane Kelly a second win on the card.
