Verdict
Not the most auspicious start to the card at Wolverhampton and this is likely to be a quiet betting heat. Ovigo, Street Life and Paso Doble are all worthy of consideration when putting the shortlist together, but the lightly-weighted Tropical Son has a good jockey booked for the ride and he can make the most of the opportunity that the terms of the race present him with here. The Derek Shaw-trained five-year-old has a typical record for a contest of this nature, in that his style of running has suggested that he should have won more races than he actually has, however he came good at Lingfield last time and is worth giving another chance to in the company. Carol Williams' strength in the saddle will help to keep focused in the closing stages and the partnership should make a bold bid to defy the 5lb extra they are burdened with today. Street Life makes most appeal out of the rest but he is as frustrating as they come and is taken on with Tropical Son now that he has learnt what it takes to put his head in front and stay there
