In depth
Verdict
Reivers Moon has been a model of consistency and can finally come good over the Irish raider Tisn't Easy and recent winner Bonnie Parker. Reivers Moon has had the misfortune to come up against some decent sorts since landing a Carlisle bumper in March, notably Liberman over the course and distance in December. She was the only one to make a race of it with Martin Pipe's charge that day, and should go well back over a more suitable trip and track than when failing to last out at Sedgefield 10 days ago. She was going best of all at the top of the hill and will make a bold bid to put matters right here. Bonnie Parker had Reivers Moon behind when scoring at Sedgefield, but did her best to throw that race away in the closing stages and obviously has a mind of her own. In addition she is worse off now with the selection and is not fancied to confirm the placings. Charlie Swan comes over with Tisn't Easy, who is still a maiden but got close to the very useful Beechcourt at Cork three weeks ago. Although flattered by her proximity to the winner, she will be expected to go close. Magical Field will appreciate the step back up in trip after running on at the one pace at Wetherby last time, while Howard Johnson saddles both Back On Song and Squeeze Box. On jockey bookings, preference is for the latter, but in any case we prefer the claims of Reivers Moon who must surely open her account soon.
