In depth

Verdict

This looks quite trappy but Emerald Wilderness is taken to get the better of Fantastic Morning and Rabbit Fighter. The selection is no stable star as he has now gone six races without winning but he continues to run well and last time he finished a long way clear of the third when chasing home Zaham. A reproduction of that effort should be enough to see him lose his maiden tag. Fantastic Morning rates the main danger as this colt certainly looks the part on breeding and Mark Johnston is certainly capable of getting one ready to win first time out. Rabbit Fighter showed some promise in a Group 3 race at Sandown last year but it was disappointing that he was unable to build on that when he could only finish third behind St Philip at Southwell. Firebird Annie made a pleasing debut and is another to consider, but for the winner we will return to Emerald Wilderness.
