Verdict

Dr Red Eye can be forgiven a poor effort at Southwell last time and has a chance on his third at Lingfield in February. In contrast, Lieutenant Dan ran really well on the Fibresand when stepped up into this grade last week and is another with claims. Lord of The Dance has been thereabouts in lesser company of late but Paphos normally does his winning in plating races. Silverware can make the frame but Sea Soldier has something to prove now after three below-par efforts last season. AN CAT DUBH won at Chester last year and wasn't disgraced in a handicap at Newbury off today's mark when last seen at the track in September. Ian Williams' charge is the speculative selection in an open affair.
