Verdict
This is another desperate contest in which Elsinora, Flying Spud and Larad look to be the best of an average bunch and the vote is given to Elsinora. The selection won with a bit in hand at Yarmouth last time when beating David's Girl, and with the slight step up in trip not expected to be an inconvenience she should take plenty of beating. Flying Spud finished down the field at Yarmouth last time but he gets on well with today's pilot and he would certainly have strong claims here on the pick of his form. Larad is not one to place a great deal of faith in but he ran encouragingly last time at Yarmouth when finishing in mid-division behind Ellovamul and if he ordained to put his best foot forward then he could go close. Lady Predominant is the other worth considering but she is badly out of form and for the winner we return to Elsinora.
