Verdict

In a tight amateur riders' handicap RIDE A WHITE SWAN was convincing enough in victory last time to suggest he could follow up at the expense of Captain Kallis, while Albero Di Guida might be a decent shout for each-way punters. That last score for the selection was his second in three starts and he wasn't stopping as he crossed the line. He has a top amateur on board and he should overcome his mark rise. Captain Kallis has been running well at Southwell recently and we suggest he is also suited by this track. He's just 1lb higher in the handicap than when narrowly missing out last time so he looks a live one. Albero Di Guida goes well here but might be too high in the weights to win but should run a big race while any money for Sir Mozart would prick our interest. Loyal Royal remains dangerously light at the weights but seems out of form so we think this race can go to trainer Derek Shaw for the second year running with Ride A White Swan landing the call.
