Verdict

Only a small field goes to post for the nightcap and we will side with GAILY NOBLE to get the better of Royal Society and Sullenberger. The selection shaped with promise on his debut and he built on that last time at Kempton when he chased home Dialect. He looks to be going the right way, the step up in trip should suit and in a race that lacks any strength in depth he looks to set the benchmark for the others. Royal Society will need to step-up on what he showed in a couple of turf maidens last year if he is to get competitive, and he is also racing on the all-weather for the first time tonight so he has questions to answer. The fact that he is returning from a break is another concern. Sullenberger is an interesting newcomer from the Jamie Osborne yard and he will not have to be anything special to take a hand in the finish. Cherry Plum shaped with a degree of promise on her debut at Kempton earlier in the month so she is another who could be of interest if she can improve. Gaily Noble sets the standard and looks the one to beat.
