Verdict
New York gets the vote here ahead of Drizzle, Jakarmi, Petite Colleen and, possibly, Lasting Delight. The selection has solid form in the context of this race, having been placed in both starts, which includes an effort on Lingfield's Polytrack. As such, she holds very good credentials here and gets the vote. She is also co-owned by a certain Lester Piggott. Drizzle is well-bred and showed some promise when finshing third on his Redcar debut. Jakarmi was second to subsequent winner Myannabanana over today's course and distance last time so has to be considered. Piccleyes steps up in trip after showing reasonable form at six furlongs but that move is not certain to suit. Beauchamp Surprise is a half-sister to the stable's Beauchamp Pilot but has shown little in two starts to date. Lasting Delight is interesting stepped up in trip today, hailing as she does from Sir Mark Prescott's canny stable. Petite Colleen ran well behind Border Music at Lingfield last time and has place claims, but Mark Johnston's Vesta Flame showed little on her Doncaster Turf debut. Overall, then, New York looks the percentage call and is our selection.
