Verdict
Royal Prodigy gets the vote over Aveiro and Samar Qand in a weak selling contest over a mile and a half. A winner over the course and distance for Martin Pipe in June, Royal Prodigy has since added to that over hurdles at Exeter. After his defeat at the same track last time, the four-year-old joined Ron Hodges, and lines up fit and fancied on his return to the all-weather. He should have an edge on most of these, including Aveiro who is not as kindly treated on the all-weather as on turf. Samar Qand is slowly getting the hang of things on the fibresand, while Bugle Call is better than his finishing positions lately suggest. However, they all have it to do to stop Royal Prodigy from adding to his tally.
