In depth
Verdict
A well contested heat but Brighter Future showed on her comeback over a furlong shorter at Lingfield that she can strike off her current mark. The Barry Hills-trained filly made good headway in the closing stages on that occasion and will be very well suited by the increase in trip here. Mark Johnston's stable continues in fine form but his Thundering Storm has not been seen since finishing well held at Southwell in January and is best watched while Sabreline has more to do than when runner-up in a Southwell maiden last time and Ashantiana needs to improve on what she showed last term on her seasonal reappearance.
