Verdict
This is not an easy race to work out with Sir Sandrovitch the choice ahead of St Ivian, Lakeside Guy, Henry Tun and Kallista's Pride. The selection had been enduring a poor run of form before looking a bit more like his old self when a staying-on seventh at Southwell last time. We will take a chance that he can build on that, but he's a far-from-confident selection. Turning to the others, and Smart Starprincess is heading back towards a winning mark now. St Ivian is well weighted but both wins so far have come at six furlongs. Best Lead is capable of running well from his current mark and Davids Mark has been knocking at the door and could make the frame again. Lakeside Guy has scope for improvement so watch for signs in the betting. St Austell has run well on both starts on this surface, which have been his last two runs, and he has a right to be on the shortlist too. Henry Tun is also fully entitled to place claims from his current mark. Kallista's Pride has a right to be considered on the best of his Turf form and you cant really rule out some kind of a run from Sea The World in these types of races. In a nutshell, this is a headscratcher and, once again, we offer up Sir Sandrovitch as a tentative selection.
