In depth

Verdict

Laura Pearson steered POWER ON to victory at Lingfield despite having to race wide turning for home. He may well defy a 5lb rise on that showing and confirm latest running with both Blue Moonrise and Wudashudacuda. He’s preferred to another recent winner in For Peat's Sake, who came good over the minimum trip at Newcastle a fortnight ago though was beaten only a length over track and trip earlier. Global Vision’s success at Newcastle last year came over 7f while Libertine Belle returns to action with a shout and the unexposed pair Bergerac and Carbon Positive are worth a second glance on their seasonal debuts.
