In depth

Verdict

Annie Go looks an interesting top-weight on this, her handicap debut, however OUR LAST CALL is a potential improver for blinkers and this longer trip and is preferred to recent winner Bute Street. A daughter of Hernando, the selection has been given a four month break since her third start at Kempton where she was well-held. Beaten a total of 122 lengths in three runs, she doesn't look a world-beater, however she starts handicaps on a very low mark and she may be a reformed character over this new trip if taking to the first-time blinkers. Watch Out was last seen winning a selling handicap hurdle at Worcester; he hasn't been seen on the level for almost two years but cannot be discounted. Amroth steps up in trip and tries a visor for the first time; her trainer landed a huge gamble with a horse owned by the same connections (Man Of Gwent) and any market support would have to be taken seriously. Sir Sandicliffe has to be held up off the pace so he is at the mercy of the other jockeys with regards to tempo, Park's Prodigy was gifted the race at Catterick last time by a dreadful ride from the jockey on the runner-up, whilst Squirtle and Wester Lodge were not far behind Bute Street at the track last time and have small pulls in the weights this evening. At a price Colourful Move might belie his likely odds off this mark of 53, however it is Our Last Call who looks worth chancing.
