In depth

Verdict

Sea Wall may be able to defy his penalty but the claims of Super Judge must be respected. The selection is unexposed over fences having had just the three starts and really seems to have come to himself of late. He relishes this fast surface and he produced a game effort to score at Hereford last time; he appears to have solid claims. So too does Blaze Ahead who chased home a stablemate of Sea Wall last time and is only 3lbs higher this afternoon. He's been in consistent form this summer and should go well. Super Judge and Arctic Ghost would have claims on their best form but the latter has a good bit to prove at present having lost his way. The form of Super Judge's penultimate start has been given a big boost by the winner landing the Summer National at the weekend. Matthew Muroto and Classic Rock may be able to run into the frame but both usually manage to find at least one too good and we'll be hoping that on this occasion it will be Sea Wall.
