In depth

Verdict

The Duckster has yet to be seen on the racecourse but still gets our vote here although the market will, as ever, be informative. Tim Vaughan is fast making a name for himself as an up and coming trainer and has a very good strike rate when Richard Johnson rides. He also has a decent strike rate in this sphere and this one makes some appeal on paper. Easy Dancer rates the main danger as he was very well backed on debut and he will be fancied to make amends this afternoon. He's likely to be sent off at a short price once again and is worth taking on. The market may shed some light on the chances of the other newcomers but none immediately take the eye and we'll be siding with The Duckster.
