Verdict

Alcock And Brown bids for a fourth win in seven starts here but he’s been found wanting previously in this grade. Forecast may need this while Solatentif was tailed off at Cartmel on Sunday. Malton Rose was well beaten on her handicap debut and may need to drop a few more pounds so The Sweeney and MELODY OF SCOTLAND can fight out the finish of this. Both would have preferred a softer surface but the latter has only had three runs and was a very encouraging third for new connections at Aintree last month.
