In depth

Verdict

A dual winner over fences, Robin Des Mana is 0-7 over hurdles but he’s Gordon Elliott’s sole representative on today’s card and Richard Johnson rides – he should be in the firing-line. Ilewin Geez got off the mark over hurdles at Uttoxeter at the fourth attempt. He has a penalty but this isn’t a particularly strong novice event. ARMAANS WISH has a lengthy absence to overcome and makes his hurdling debut but he will have had plenty of schooling and the going will suit. He might be worth a small interest with Baby Ted looking best of the rest.
