In depth

Verdict

Not many of these arrive in decent form and Seven Nation Army was still beaten a long way when placed at Fontwell last year though can race off a 12lb lower mark on his return. But HOWLONGISAFOOT stands out on recent form having followed a good effort at Fontwell with an even better one at the same track last month and Chris Gordon’s charge gets the vote off his current mark. Welcome Polly has yet to show any improvement for joining the Skelton yard while Richard Johnson’s presence takes the eye on Definite Winner, who has looked nothing of the kind so far. Persistantprincess is a point-to-point winner but has yet to figure over timber.
