In depth

Verdict

Pongo Twistleton has been a bit disappointing so far, including over this trip at Southwell last month, but Muffins For Tea finally opened his account at Newton Abbot last week and is still heading in the right direction. My Mo is consistent and so is Chevalgris, though the latter had every chance when a beaten favourite at Chepstow last month and is 7lb higher here. Keating is less exposed but may need to drop a few more pounds and The Two Amigos may also need some help from the handicapper. MARVELLOUS MONTY was knocking on the door last season. She’s still edging up the weights but seems sure to give a good account again.
