Verdict
A modest contest where ASTRODONNA rates an each-way pick ahead of Mr Harmoosh and Akamon. Mr Harmoosh has some of the best recent form on offer having scored over a mile here with Easy Wonder back in third and he promises to stay this far but his ability to be as effective on rain-softened ground has to be taken on trust. Easy Wonder should finish closer on these terms but she's never finished better than third in 28 attempts on turf and a more appealing option is Astrodonna despite the fact that her stamina is not guaranteed. She shapes as though she'll stay this far though, she looked on the way back last time, is on a fair mark and has a decent record with cut in the ground. Akamon is one of the more interesting runners having gone close behind Sea Of Heartbreak in a maiden last November and she's better than the bare form of her latest effort suggests as she suffered severe traffic problems and her pedigree suggests that she may well appreciate this easier surface. Bizarrely would be feared if the market were to prove positive ahead of his handicap bow whilst Gheed is one of the more interesting outsiders but Astrodonna makes each-way appeal.
