In depth
Verdict
A weak contest that should fall to General Nuisance, with Russian Servana and Jay the main dangers. The selection wasn't beaten far in sellers her and at Brighton before finishing a close up seventh behind Dove Cottage in a much better event at Chepstow. Back in this grade he will take all the beating. Jay disappointed last time at Newmarket but had previously finished a very close second to Tipsy Lillie over course and distance, a repeat of that effort should see her in there fighting for at least a place. On a line through Tipsy Lillie, Russian Servana has just about the same chance as Jay, and comes from a yard that used to have regular winners here. Glasson Lodge and His Majesty make up the field and have both shown enough to not be completely discounted, however General Nuisance appears to have the best overall form and gets the vote.
