An interesting contest with three of the five runners having serious claims, including, Bonus and Polish Emperor but preference is for Vision Of Night. This is something of a drop in class for Vision Of Night, who normally mixes it with the best sprinters around and although he hasn't won for nearly two years, he looked back to something like his best at Kempton last time, when equipped with blinkers for the first time. He will be wearing them again here, over what is his optimum trip, and he is taken to prove too strong for the progressive Bonus. The latter has made great strides this term since getting his head in front at Newmarket back in April, a win that gave his confidence a right boost. He hasn't looked back since then picking up races at Salisbury, where he had The Kiddykid (the winner of 2 Listed events since), five-lengths back in second, and Lingfield, where he had a couple of in-form rivals in Move It and Hit's Only Money, well held. He will be difficult to beat. The unexposed Polish Emperor is hard to weigh up. Not seen since making a winning debut almost a year ago on soft ground at Kempton, Peter Harris' colt is clearly open to plenty of improvement in him and it would be dangerous to underestimate him. However, he face a couple of formidable rivals here and may have to settle for minor honours.
