Verdict
In what could prove to be a tactical affair, Little Venice is fancied to regain the winning thread, with Loner and Mister Clinton to battle out the minor honours. The selection has won two of her last four starts and possibly failed to see out the mile at Doncaster last time. She had earlier battled well over this trip to see off Tiber Tiger at Newmarket and is only two pounds higher today. Warden Warren may have been flattered by his win at Doncaster earlier in the season, as he raced all alone that day, and he looked to have a bad attitude last time so is readily opposed, as is Parkside Pursuit, who does not appear particularly well handicapped and is best over six furlongs. Loner won a selling handicap at Warwick a couple of runs ago but has failed to add to that in two subsequent starts, while Mister Clinton could be given a chance on his second at Brighton two runs ago. However, there is a fair chance that Little Venice will be allowed an uncontested lead here, and she is therefore fancied to make all under Seb Sanders.
