Verdict
Sir Mark Prescott's Rivetting has so far been disappointing since being stepped up to a more suitable trip so may be best watched at present and a safer bet looks to be Call Me George, who is preferred to Rahy's Crown. The selection holds Rivetting on running at Redcar last time and remains open to further improvement, especially on a surface that should suit him even more than the good ground on which Mark Johnson's colt won there. Clive Brittain's recent Southwell winner Arsad is hardly bred for this trip being related to sprinter The Tatling but seems to stay well enough and he has to be respected. Luca Cumani's Valerie is bred to be useful but has given little cause for optimism so far, while the Mark Tompkins-trained Shore Thing may do better stepping up in trip. Rahy's Crown may be worth another chance over this trip but Call Me George has solid claims on Redcar form and is taken to follow up.
