Verdict

A tricky start with four-times course winner Protected Guest, who attracted market support last time at Chelmsford, much respected being only a pound higher than when last successful over track and trip. But John Gosden won this with a three-year-old last year and NASRAAWY fits the bill this time having got off the mark at Salisbury two weeks ago - he has already placed here. Crystal Pegasus is a little more exposed but also won his most recent start at Bath while Wait Forever is starting to look well treated and is preferred to old-timer Pactolus of the others.
