Verdict

This longer trip should holds no fears for Northern Express, who made a winning debut when scoring over the extended 7f in soft going at Beverley. He had Baileys Derbyday well behind in third but is penalised today and ECLIPSE DE LUNAR can take advantage of the weight concession. The latter went close to returning a shock 100/1 winner at York on his debut with Carter Cowboy behind and Tim Easterby’s charge is another likely to appreciate this extra distance. Simons King is related to winners in France and preferred to Annandale and Carn A Chlamain of the newcomers.
