Nicholas T won here in June and missed out by only a neck in last year’s renewal. He’s not out of this while Glasses Up has recorded all six wins so far at this track including a course and distance double in July. He ran well again at York last time while DUBAI ICON scored on the Knavesmire last year and returns from a lay-off having gone close in a tough handicap at Meydan back in February. Gelded subsequently, there should be more to come from him this year and Saeed bin Suroor’s yard has been among the winners recently. Spirit Dancer is less exposed but has plenty to prove at this level having landed a maiden at Ripon recently while Dark Lochnagar has a bit to find with a couple of these. Morisco remains 6lb higher than an earlier win at Newbury and First Impression is upped in class.
