In depth
Verdict
An open looking handicap where it could pay to side with in-form six-year-old It's Our Secret. Consistent over both seven furlongs and a mile in recent times, the gelding came good over nine furlongs at Ripon last time. Off the same mark here, the fast ground lover will take some beating. Top weight Tarboush should also go well now that he comes back to a mile. Neville Callaghan's five-year-old was an Epsom winner over this trip in August, but raised 5lbs he was well beaten over ten furlongs last time and may be exposed at this trip too. Bond Diamond is one worth considering depsite being weighted up to the hilt at the moment. Four successive wins this summer saw him raised 12lbs, but after another good effort at Salisbury last time he can be trusted to be involved again today. Love's Design is another to note from a good draw, after the ground went against her at Lingfield last time.
