        Verdict

        Veteran sprinter DUKE OF FIRENZE (NAP) arrives in good form having placed in a Listed race last time and finished second off today’s mark at Epsom before that when ahead of Blue De Vega. David Giffiths’ charge gets the nod to confirm running with the latter, who has subsequently finished runner-up at Ascot with both Thegreatestshowman and Zamjar behind. Saaheq finished in front of Heartwarming when fourth at Sandown recently while Holmeswood won a lower grade race at Musselburgh last time but was well beaten by the selection at York earlier in the year. Last year’s runner-up Line Of Reason will take advantage of a tumble down the weights before long though may have to find a less competitive sprint to do so.
