Verdict
The three to be concerned with here should be Rum Shot, Convince and Compton¿s Eleven, with the former just getting the vote. Henry Candy¿s colt followed up a promising debut effort at Newbury in mid September with an emphatic five length success over some decent types at Windsor a fortnight ago, there should be more improvement to follow and he will be hard to beat. Sir Michael Stoute trains Convince, who looked a decent horse in the making when easily landing a Windsor maiden. He had his limitations exposed in better company at York last time but today¿s opposition should be less taxing. Compton¿s Eleven is one of the most exposed runners in the line-up and this dual winner makes a quick return to the racecourse following a gallant third to Spliff at Catterick on Saturday. But Rum Shot was a most impressive winner and gets the nod with Convince the main danger.
