Verdict

LINBY is expected to be a lot sharper for his run at Kempton three weeks ago and is fancied to land this weak seller. Ricci De Mare heads the list of alternatives, while Bella Medici has ability but, having refused to race last time, she hardly strikes as the most trustworthy candidate for the role. The last named has gone well here in the past, though. So support for Mark Tompkins' charge would be interesting, nevertheless. Ricci De Mare is effective in this grade and is open to improvement now her stamina is being emphasised. David Probert is good value for his 5lb claim and his mount can certainly be involved in the shake up. Another worth a mention is Greek Theatre, who drops to this level for the first time. His breeding suggests the trip should not be a problem and he could easily rise above the challenge now he is eased in grade. However, Linby has a touch more room for improvement and, having already proved he knows how to win in this sort of company, he gets the nod of approval. His owner/trainer, Tor Sturgis, is a terrific judge and it would appear that she has again holds all aces in Yarmouth's opener
